伊東マンショたち4名の使節は西洋の文化を日本へ紹介しました。その中には、グーテンベルクの活版印刷機もありました。
1585年3月23日、グレゴリウス十三世（Gregorius Mlll）は日本から来た天正遣欧少年使節と会いました。

The Tensho Embassy was organized by four Japanese boys.
Gregorius Thirteenth met them in March 2, 1585.
They introduced western culture to Japan.
For example, the letterpress of Gutenberg.
